The 2016 exhibition was another great success with fourteen layouts attending. There were
eleven diverse scale/gauge combinations on show including those in 0, 0-16.5, S, P4, 00, 00-12, 00-9, H0,
3mm/ft finescale, British N and 2mm/ft finescale. Once again something for everyone! Layouts traveled from as far
away as Cornwall, Devon, Hampshire, East and West Sussex, Wiltshire and Yorkshire portraying British, American
and German standard and narrow gauge prototypes.
Fifteen members of the trade, including specialist manufacturers, had a presence at the show. This year we welcomed
for the first time Chris Ford with Scale Rail International, his bi-monthly magazine for those railway modellers interested in building
small operative layouts, balancing prototype fidelity with charm and soul. There was a display by the model engineers from the Bentley
Miniature Railway as well as popular demonstration stands manned by guests Roger Sawyer (soldering), Cat Gibbs (figure painting)
and Andy Jones (layout contruction).
The show was very successful, with many comments being received as to the high quality of
the exhibits, the variety of trade goods on offer and the general friendliness of those taking part.
