The Polo Mint

This layout has been constructed in the Clubrooms in order that members can run their stock whilst construction progresses on the scenic layouts.

The layout is circular, with a hole in the middle, and features tracks to 'N', 'TT', 'OO', 'EM' and 'P4' standards. All the circuits have seperate electrical connections and become 'live' when a hand held controller is plugged into the appropriate connector.

Bentley in Miniature

This layout has been constructed in the Clubrooms by a couple of members in order to publicise the Club and in particular the Bentley Miniature Railway.

The trackplan is based on the miniature railway and has been laid to 9mm gauge using Peco narrow gauge track and points. At the moment the available stock is H0e. In the main this comes from the Jouef range of 25 years ago which has been liberated from a member's loft for the layout!

Construction was rapid, with scenery and buildings being found and constructed from items found in the Clubrooms. Various features of the real miniature railway have been reproduced in their correct positions. The simple electrics are complete, but a few changes will be made in the future to allow more functionality.

The layout has made many visits to outside events where it has attracted much interest.
